Why do car services need due-date reminders?
A due-date reminder shows, for each car, when the client should come back. 4mygarage calculates it from the last recorded job. You send the message to the client yourself, through your own channel.
Short answer
- The reminder shows the next service date for each car, calculated from the last job.
- The list is for your team: you look at it in the morning and decide whom to write to or call.
- The app does not send automatic messages; you send them yourself, through your own channel.
- When the car comes in and a new job is recorded, the due date is updated from it.
- Note the client's answer in the vehicle file, so you don't call twice.
How to use the list
- Open the list every morning or once a week.
- Write or call the clients whose cars are due in the next few days.
- Note the answer in the vehicle file.
What the app does not do
- It does not send SMS, WhatsApp or email automatically, neither at intake nor when a service is due.
- It does not confirm the client's appointments on your behalf.
Example messages you write yourself
- “Your car's service is due soon. Can we book you in this week?”
- “Your car is ready. You can come to pick it up.”
