What a Romanian workshop runs on 4mygarage

The daily loop of an auto service shop in one account: the car, the order, the price and the next visit.

A vehicle file keyed on the plate

Type a plate however the customer reads it out and the shop gets one file: spaces, dashes and case are stripped, so B 123 ABC, b-123-abc and B123ABC are the same vehicle. The file holds make, model, year, VIN, last known mileage and the owner's name, and a plate you enter on a new work order creates the file for you.

Reception with mileage and complaint

A work order starts with what the customer reported and the odometer reading. The reading is also written back to the vehicle file, and the order keeps its own copy of plate, make, model and VIN, so it still describes the car if the file is later removed.

A work order with five stages

Every order moves through scheduled, received, in progress, ready and delivered. The received and delivered times are stamped when the order gets there, even if you jump straight to delivered, and a delivered order is closed to further edits.

Labour and parts as priced lines

An order is a list of lines, each marked as labour or part, with a quantity and a unit price. The line total is quantity times price and the order total is the sum, kept in RON (lei), so the figure you quote at the counter is the figure on the order.

A parts list with your own prices

Add the parts and consumables you use most, such as brake pads or oil filters, with a price. When you build an order you pick them from the list instead of retyping the name and the price. Labour lines are typed in on the order.

A board by stage

The reception screen lays the orders out in columns by stage: the cars in the shop, scheduled orders for the next three weeks and deliveries from the last two weeks. Whoever stands at the counter sees what is waiting, what is on the lift and what is ready to hand back, and moves an order forward one stage at a time.

A call list for the next service

The next service date is the scheduled date of the vehicle's latest work order plus an interval in months. The interval defaults to six months and you set it. The list is sorted with the most overdue first and shows the plate, the vehicle, the customer's name and the last visit, so your team knows whom to call.

Order figures from your own work orders

Reports are computed from your work orders: order value (the sum of the orders) in the last 7, 30 or 90 days, cars serviced (counted by plate), the average order value, order value by month over six months, the operations that earn the most, and how many vehicles are overdue or due within 30 days.

From the first plate to the next service

  1. Set the shop up

Create the account, add the parts you use most to your parts list, and set the service interval in months.

  2. Receive the car

Enter the plate, note the complaint and the mileage and open the order. The vehicle file is created or refreshed from what you typed.

  3. Work the order

Add labour and part lines (parts from your list, or by hand) and advance the order through the stages as the work moves on the floor.

  4. Hand back and follow up

Mark the order delivered, then use the call list and the reports to bring customers back when the next service is due.

What to expect, and what it leaves out

  • The panel keeps its figures in RON (lei), the currency a Romanian workshop quotes in.
  • The order is the document Romanian shops call a deviz or comanda de lucru: complaint, labour, parts and a total. It is not a fiscal invoice; the invoice is issued separately, for example in 4invoices from the same ecosystem.
  • The service interval is yours to set and counts from the last work order. 4mygarage does not read the ITP or RCA registers; its reminders follow your interval, not those legal dates.
  • There is no parts stock module: parts appear as lines on an order with a quantity and a price, and there is no minimum-stock alert.
  • 4mygarage does not send SMS, WhatsApp or e-mail to your customers. The call list is for your own team.

Questions Romanian workshops ask

Short answers about what 4mygarage does today: vehicle files, work orders, service reminders and reports.

What does 4mygarage do for an auto service shop in Romania?

It keeps a file for every vehicle you service, runs work orders with labour and parts lines through five stages from reception to handover, works out which customers are due for their next service, and reports on order value, cars serviced and average order value from your own work orders.

How does the vehicle file work?

The plate is the key. It is stored in capitals without spaces or dashes, so every way of typing it lands on the same vehicle. The file keeps make, model, year, VIN, last mileage and the owner's name, and a plate typed on a new work order creates the file if it does not exist yet.

What are the stages of a work order?

Scheduled, received, in progress, ready and delivered. The reception board moves an order one stage at a time, the work-order screen lets you set any stage, and the received and delivered times are filled in when the order reaches them. Once an order is delivered it can no longer be edited.

How is the total of an order calculated?

Each line is labour or a part with a quantity and a unit price. The line total is quantity times price and the order total is the sum of its lines, stored in RON (lei). You can type lines by hand or pick parts from your parts list.

How do service reminders work?

For each active vehicle the next service is the scheduled date of its latest work order plus the interval in months you chose (six by default). The list is sorted by urgency and shows the plate, vehicle, customer name and last visit so your team knows whom to call. The product does not contact customers on its own.

Does it manage parts stock, message customers or issue invoices?

No to all three. Parts are lines on a work order, there is no stock level or minimum-stock alert, no SMS, WhatsApp or e-mail goes out to customers, and a work order is not a fiscal invoice. Invoices are issued in a separate tool such as 4invoices.

Which reports do I get?

Order value, cars serviced and average order value for the last 7, 30 or 90 days, order value by month over six months, the top operations by revenue, and the count of vehicles overdue or due in the next 30 days. All of it is computed from the work orders you entered.

Where is the Romanian version?

The Romanian site is at /ro. The English pages describe the same product for Romanian workshops that prefer to work in English.
