FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Answers for auto repair shops and workshops: vehicles, work orders, catalogue, reminders and the daily summary in 4mygarage, and what the product does not do.
About 4mygarage
What does 4mygarage do?
It keeps the shop's vehicles (registration number, VIN, mileage, customer details), work orders with labour and parts lines, an operations catalogue with default prices, service reminders and a daily summary.
Who is it for?
For car services, mechanical workshops and garages that want vehicles and jobs in one place.
What does 4mygarage not do?
It has no online bookings, sends no SMS, WhatsApp or email to customers, keeps no stock quantities and issues no invoices.
Vehicles and work orders
What do you keep for a vehicle?
Registration number, VIN, make, model, year, mileage and the customer's name. Each vehicle keeps the history of the work done on it.
What statuses does a work order have?
Scheduled, received, in progress, ready and delivered. An order can be cancelled; cancelled orders are not counted in revenue.
How is the total calculated?
The total is calculated automatically from the order lines: labour and parts, each with quantity and unit price.
Can I track the status of each car?
Yes. Each order has a status that moves forward as the job progresses, and the daily summary shows how many vehicles are in each status.
Catalogue, parts and reminders
How do I track parts?
Parts appear as lines on the work order, with quantity and price, like operations. The catalogue can keep common parts with a default price.
Is there parts stock and alerts?
No. 4mygarage does not keep stock quantities and has no reorder alerts. For stock, use a sheet or a stock management program.
How do I know when a car is due back?
The service reminder shows the next service date, calculated from the last recorded job. The list is for your team.
Does the app send messages to customers?
No. It sends no SMS, WhatsApp or email, either automatically or manually. You send messages to customers yourself, through your own channel.
Invoicing, summary and integrations
Can I invoice jobs from the app?
No. 4mygarage does not issue invoices. You take the work order total into your invoicing program.
Is there an integration with other ecosystem products?
There is currently no invoicing or messaging integration. You transfer data manually from the app.
What does the daily summary show?
Active vehicles, active orders, orders in progress and ready, vehicles scheduled today, and revenue from delivered orders. It does not show productivity per mechanic.
Pricing and getting started
How much does 4mygarage cost?
Plans are monthly and described on the pricing page, with what each includes.
How do I start?
Create the account, fill the catalogue with your common operations, and open the first work order for a car that comes into the shop.
Do I need technical skills?
No. The app is used from the panel, with no code. If you can use a smartphone, you can use 4mygarage.
